“If we look at a car today, advanced driver assistance systems, parking, driver monitoring, camera mirrors, digital instrument cluster and infotainment are all different computers distributed throughout the vehicle,”
said Nvidia’s vice president of automotive, Danny Shapiro, at a press briefing Monday.
“In 2025, these functions will no longer be separate computers. Rather, Drive Thor will enable manufacturers to efficiently consolidate these functions into a single system, reducing overall system cost.”

3. Nvidia의 새로운 칩은 중국 Geely 자동차의 프리미엄 전기차 라인인 Zeekr에서 가장 먼저 사용 예정, Xpeng도 엔비디아 Orin 사용하고 있음. 바이두의 JiDU, NIO, Polestar 등도 Nvidia Orin 사용하고 있는데, 이처럼 엔비디아 고객의 많은 수가 중국이라는 점은 주목할 만 하다. (그리고 Nvidia는 TSMC 사용함)

4. 이달 초 US정부는 AI Chip의 중국 및 러시아 수출 제재를 발표함. 엔비디아 GPU(A100, H100)도 금지했지만 엔비디아 공장이 중국에 있어서 중국 고객사에 계속해서 제공은 가능할 듯. 엔비디아는 데이터 센터 용 칩이 수출 제한인 것으로 Automotive는 상관 없다고 말함

5. GTC 이벤트에서 Drive SIM(엔드 투 엔드 시뮬레이션 플랫폼)도 발표. 딥러닝 기반으로 sensor configuration, scenario, aspects of behavior 수정하여 시뮬레이션 할 수 있는 플랫폼으로 보임

   

6. 위 그림처럼 AI가 센서 데이터 기반으로 3D scene을 구성해서 시뮬레이션 가능한 툴인듯?

7. 엔비디아는 디지털 트윈 이용한 스마트 팩토리에서도 꽤 선두를 달리는 것으로 알고 있는데.. 그 칩 이름이 OVX인 것 같다. OVX의 2세대도 발표했다는 소식.
